Intended for The Unicorns' demonstration, observe Three Inches of Blood. 3 Inches of Blood is a Canadianheavy metal group formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2000. Their lyrical themes are haggard as of epic fantasy, soldier culture, battles, and the glory of serious metal. Pipes heard their demo EP at the house of Hot Hot Heat keyboardist Steve Bays, a longtime friend plus former bandmate.
Their first appearance album Battlecry beneath a Wintersun was recorded in 2002 on the Minion Music label. This release went by almost ignored until the band's UK sharing label decided to place them on as a hold up slot for a tour by means of platinum rock band The Darkness. In 2004, original drummer Geoff Trawick plus bassist brother Rich absent the group.
Original guitarists, Sunny Dhak plus Move up and down Froese left the band soon after recording in around July of 2004 because "they could no longer commit to touring plus needed to deal by means of some individual matters" as the band wrote on their website. They were also committed to a business that they had put up called Bloodstone Push, a union shop and party venue. Anyhow, I'm not actually a metal dude. Not any of us are. I'm sure if you studied pictures of 3 Inches of Blood you could pick us out as not actually belonging there.
In October of 2006, the group opened a demonstrate intended for Iron Maiden throughout the United States support of their 2006 A Substance of Existence plus Bereavement Earth Tour. The demonstrate was at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. The band wrote their entire Fire up the Blades album in Tacoma Washington plus they performed their new songs at various places all around Washington. On March 22, 2007, the band was confirmed to play the next stage at Ozzfest.
On April 6, 2007, the band's website was totally redesigned. During the 2007 Ozzfest Tour, Jamie Hooper was not capable to sing with the band as he was experiencing throat evils, plus was warned by doctors so as to he may damage his voice permanently if he did not rest it. He did not do at the primary Ozzfest date in the Seattle, Mountainview, nor Marysville dates.
He did not do at Dallas, Texas, other than the screamed vocals were performed by guitarist Justin Hagberg. Furthermore, He did not do at the Hartford or Pittsburgh shows. This is most likely down to the person choice of the new group members so as to have joined 3 Inches of Blood on tour, none of whom appeared in the promo photos intended for Advance and Vanquish. Furthermore, single of the main tenets of the band's philosophy is so as to of a reaction to the contemporary popularity of genres such as nu metal, metalcore, plus screamo. It is ironic after that, that the label to which they are signed is one of the biggest for these genres.
