Donna Crouch was appointed as an assistant in late 1984 due to the expansion of the youth collection. Donna Bend became the youth head in 1987. Phil and Lucinda Dooley became youth pastor in 1996, at what time the youth comprised of two age groups, Flora and fauna and Source of power. This is anywhere the person's name of the youth ministry, Hillsong United, came from. In 2007, Paul and Andi Andrew became the new youth pastors, as Phil plus Lucinda Dooley moved into other areas.

Following releasing an album each year, the popularity of Hillsong United has meant that the worship side has become band similar to, on the road plus holding conferences around the earth. The Hillsong United group is currently led by Marty Sampson and Joel Houston, the son of Hillsong Church senior minister Brian Houston. The present Youth Pastors of Hillsong United are Paul plus Andi Andrews, who took the place in near the beginning 2007. The conferences held at Hillsong Church are Jam United at Hillsong Meeting and Encounterfest (where the live Hillsong United albums were recorded). Later in 2007, Hillsong United along by means of Brian Houston and Phil Dooley determination host a conference in Florida.

The youth ministry too has an yearly Summer Camp, held in January. While Hillsong conference is held at Sydney Olympic Commons, Jam United is held at the Hillsong Meeting Centre in Baulkham Hills. The youth are bused onto the Hillsong Church site in the morning and are taken back to the Acer Arena intended for the night rallies.
