W. Beginning with a home recorded cartridge release in 1981, the Kalahari Surfers built a reputation as being single of the most politically radical musical forces in that state. Their second release was a double solitary package released by Pure Freude Records. German group Be able to were involved with this label and, along with other krautrock bands, were an important power on the Surfers noise at this time.

Suspicious Records tried to release their 1982 release album Possess Relationships but could not find a vinyl urgent plant who would do it. The reasons known by EMI were that it was "also political". e. Chris Cutler's London based Recommended Records pressed the album and put up an alliance that continues to this day. The book title was taken from the title of a Tim Hodgkinson work of art on the Henry Cow book In Praise of Learning (1975).

The Surfers moved to London to total the third album Sleep Armed plus to perform exist concerts there and in Europe. The Kalahari Surfers were seen as distant afield as Holland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Moscow, Lenningrad, Riga, East Berlin plus London. The new millennium consolidated the New South Africa and new technologies influenced the Surfers noise. Remix projects comprise labor intended for M.
