The group hails as of Tampa, Florida, plus was founded by Thomas Youngblood plus Richard Warner in 1991. The next album, Power, was released in 1997. Later that year, drummer plus creator Richard Warner plus lead vocalist Blot Vanderbilt were replaced by drummer Casey Grillo plus singer Roy Khan (formerly of Conception) respectively. With the two novel members, Kamelot released their third studio book, Siege Perilous, in 1998.

A a small number of months afterward, the band obtainable their fifth book Karma. Their sixth book, Epica, was free in 2003. To support the Epica album, the band went on tour from side to side Europe (with At Vance as supporting Band) and Japan.

To hold up the novel book, the group went on tour from side to side Europe plus Japan. In Japan the hold up was Silent Power. Both videos were shot by the productive director Patric Ullaeus.

In fall 2006 the band returned to Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany to record their latest book, Ghost Opera. Drummer Casey Grillo flew in to record in Wolfsburg for the first occasion since the Karma album. The book was recorded plus varied at Gate Studios and Pathway Studios in Wolfsburg by means of producers Sascha Paeth and Miro. The Limited Version too contains a special extended booklet as healthy.
