While both Sabatino and Sanchez are occasionally featured in live concerts, the group regularly performs by means of Martha Colby (cello), Chris Benelli (drumming) and Craig Benelli (guitar). Flanders plus Belica met as freshman at Yale Institution of higher education. In their older year Flanders and Belica collaborated with Adler to write the musical variety show, Measure By Gauge. After college they were conventional as a side into the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, studying with both Lehman Engel plus Maury Yeston. Adler and Sabatino met at a jam sitting in Novel York City.
Jointly with their friend, Paul Byrne, they started a music manufacture corporation, Tritone Productions, plus built a recording studio in a Novel Jersey garage, which October Project would eventually employ as its home base during its developmental phase. Flanders was introduced to Mary Faldermeyer (later Fahl) from side to side a mutual friend. That summer, following Adler and Fahl met, tactics were right away made to shape a band. The group exhausted eighteen months in their garage studio refining their instrumentation plus preparations, plus infrequently altering their configuration. Sanchez was recruited as percussionist and was invited to join the band, other than declined in favor of retaining sideman rank.
In November of that year they released their first album, the eponymous October Scheme, recorded in Nashville, shaped by Glenn Rosenstein and engineered by Jay Healy. It was free in September 1995. A headlining tour of the US built-in additional players Julian Coryell (guitar), Kevin Jenkins (bass) and Craig Thatcher (drums). In the middle of the artists who opened intended for October Project on that tour were Joy Askew, Jane Kelly Williams and On one occasion Blue (comprised of Jesse Harris and Rebecca Martin).
The group members determined to discontinue their mutual involvement. Songwriters Flanders and Adler formed a new group, November Scheme. Vocalist Belica has been pursuing a career as a solo artist beneath the name Decembergirl.
