July 23, 1947) is an highly praised Indianviolinist, composer and conductor, trained in the classical Carnatic music tradition of southern India, plus Western classical music, and renowned for his melody and compositions in orchestral fusion. He has accompanied a number of of the most famous names in Carnatic music such as Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar, M. D. Ramanathan, in the middle of others. He has performed a lot of concerts by means of the respected Palghat Mani Iyer on the Mridangam also, in adding to collaborating by means of additional South Asian artists.
Subramaniam has on paper works for orchestras and Hollywood movie scores, and written books on Carnatic music. Shankar. Throughout his career he has won more than a few awards, and received a Grammy nomination in 1981. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1988 plus Padma Bhushan in 2001. Every occasion I listen to him, I am approved absent in wonderment.
Both his father, V. Lakshminarayana, plus his look after, V. Seethalakshmi were accomplished musicians. He acquired a doctorate in Medicine, other than chose to remain a violin player by profession.
