Few words about Ed Harcourt

edharcourt. Harcourt's main instrument is the piano, other than he too plays numerous fewer common piano instruments as healthy as the guitar and drumming. When performing live he is most frequently accompanied by a band typically comprising a drummer, guitarist, violin player plus trumpeter, but sometimes performs solo. He is regularly accompanied by highly praised guitarist Leo Abrahams, who has worked with many musicians including Jarvis Cocker, Brian Eno, Bryan Ferry and Paul Simon.

Besides being a headliner himself, he has also played support for a lot of artists over the existence, similar to R. E. M. , Snowstorm Tour of duty, Wilco plus Neil Finn. Bands and artists who have supported Ed on his own tours include Magnet, The Magic Information plus Feist, as well as a wide variety of emerging British talents, notably The Smoke Fairies and Hush the Many (Heed the Few).

Harcourt also performed exist by means of the collection to promote the album. A tour of the UK followed. Previous to going solo Harcourt played the bass and keyboards for Cozy.
