Few words about Uman

75, 30. 75, 30. uman. kiev. In 1793 Uman became fraction of the Russian Empire and a number of noble residences were built there.

The Sofia Commons has a number of waterfalls and narrow, arching stone bridges crossing the streams and picturesque ravines. During the Second World War a fight of Uman took put in the vicinity of the town, anywhere the German army surrounded Soviet positions. Uman is the burial put of Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav, the Rebbe of the Breslov group of Hasidic Jews.

Rabbi Nachman spent the end of his life in Uman, and specially requested to be buried there. This do dates rear to 1811, the day following Rabbi Nachman was hidden in Uman. During the Soviet regime the pilgrimage was forbidden by the authorities, but was resumed in 1989 previous to the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The Soviet universal Ivan Chernyakhovsky and a Yiddish writer Hershl Polyanker were natural in Uman.
